Website conversion
Is your website actually losing you patients?
Traffic isn't the problem for most med spas. What happens in the 30 seconds after someone lands on the site usually is.
Most med spa websites are judged on how they look. The number that actually matters is how many of the people who show up leave without booking anything — and for most sites, that number is quietly brutal.
~40%
of new visitors abandon a booking flow that takes four or more steps, and booking pages that redirect off-site see mobile bounce rates as high as 91%.
Compiled from published med spa booking-funnel benchmarks.
What actually fixes it
- Cut the booking flow to the minimum possible steps, embedded directly on the page rather than redirecting off-site.
- Never require account creation to book. A login requirement alone can cut completion by roughly two-thirds.
- Show real pricing, or a clear starting-at range. Vague or missing pricing is one of the most common reasons a visitor leaves without booking.
- Design for mobile first, not desktop first. The majority of bookings now happen on mobile, often outside business hours.
- Add a persistent, obvious booking button rather than burying the call to action inside a menu.
A quick self-check: open your own booking flow on your phone right now and count the taps from landing on the site to a confirmed appointment. More than three or four taps, or any point where you have to create an account, is exactly where visitors are dropping off.
Keeping it running
Track how many visitors actually book, not just how many visit. Re-check the mobile booking flow any time you add a new treatment, price, or promotion — it's an easy place to accidentally reintroduce friction.
